Nevada Lemon Law Summary

According to the Nevada Lemon Law Statute the buyer must report of defect in motor vehicle:

    a) before the expiration date of express warranties;

    b) no later than 365 days after the date the motor vehicle is given to the original buyer

It is also mentioned, that if the manufacturer, its agent or dealer after 4 attempts can't repair the vehicle for some reasons, the manufacturer must:

    a) the motor vehicle must be replaced with a comparable one of the same model, which main features must be identical with the features of the replaced vehicle;

    b) accept the vehicle, that was returned from the buyer and recompense him the full price including all taxes, license fees, registration fees and other charges

It is assumed, that an acceptable number of tries haven't been taken to conform a vehicle to the applicable warranties where:

    a) the identical nonconformity has been subject to repair 4 or more times by the manufacturer, within the term the express warranty is valid or within 1 year after the date the vehicle is given to the original consumer, whichever occurs earlier, but this nonconformity continues to exist

    b) your vehicle is out of action for repairs for 30 or more days including the term the warranty is valid or including 1 year after the term the motor vehicle is given to the original buyer. If the repairs can't be made for reasons that are beyond the control of the manufacturer or its special agent or legal dealer, the number of days required to rise the presumption should be extended.
