As is known, the Eos made its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Next week it is going to be on display at Volkswagen dealers nationwide. The Eos can either be used as a coupe, or with the sunroof retracted, or roof fully down and the name comes from Greek goddess of the Dawn. Right-hand-drive sales are expected to dawn here in Ireland in July or August.
While the Eos features new running gear developed specifically for it, it is an amalgamation of Golf and Passat. It is longer and wider than a Golf but has its front suspension while the rear suspension is from the Passat. It is front engined and front-wheel drive.
