This official sketch above is a pretty accurate depiction of the 2009 Dodge Challenger… The latest rumors are that the new Challenger will acutally be released as the 2008 Dodge Challenger. The Challenger concept will ride on Chrysler’s LX platform, the same one that underpins the Charger and Chrysler 300. But for the Challenger, the floorpan will be shortened to a 116-in. wheelbase. Under the concept’s hood is the 420-hp 6.1-liter SRT version of the Hemi paired to a new six-speed manual. It`s evident that there are classic forms of the original Dodge Challenger in this concept. Now it`s only a concept and we are looking forward to the car release. I think it`s going to be something strong and impressive.
