gm.jpgGeneral Motors Corporation lost $10.6 billion last year. Now the company is working to revive profit…

Now GM plans to pay less to develop and manufacture new vehicles. They try to restore profits and win back buyers lost to competitors one of which is Toyota Motor Corp.

GM has been recently losing customers in the USA. People choose smaller and more fuel-efficient Toyota and Honda cars. GM`s sales in the USA fell 23 percent last month. As for Toyota, the company had a success - 12 percent sales gain. Honda - 6 percent sales gain.

Now the company reorganizes. New models are developed. The automaker reassigned 11 executives and created three global positions to share more car designs across North America, Europe and Asia. GM is also developing common designs for future SUVs and small cars.
