porsche.jpgPorsche Cayenne design caused many arguments in the auto world.

The speed limit of Cayenne Turbo V8 4.5 L engine, 450 hp is 266 km/h. It takes 5.5 - 5.6 sec to reach 100 km/h. Such features are typical with supercars but not with bulky jeeps.

Even Porsche SUV version is very fast. It takes Cayenne S 7.2 sec to reach 100 km/h. And the speed limit is only 242 km/h.

According to managers of the company when Cayenne was being developed they wanted to surpass the features of BMW X5 4.6iS when driving in the city. It meant that Porsche should have demonstrated superb characteristics driving at an incredible speed. The second aim was to create a car which would have better characteristics than Range Rover.
And they did what they wanted. The car was included into Guinness World Records book as the fastest jeep. Before the production of Cayenne the Brabus V12 had been the fastest jeep in the world.
