What is an ideal car for a student? It must be cheap, not very expensive to maintain and economical. These factors were the key ones when CNN Money created a list of ideal cars for students.

Only cheap cars which in the USA cost only a little more than $ 10 000 appeared on the list. Another factor that influenced the choice was low fuel expenses. Neverthless CCN Money tired to find the “COOLEST” among the available cars, because the purpose was to find a good car for a teenager.

Nissan Versa is one of the cheapest vehicles - & 12 450.  Even though it is comparetively sheap the car has attractive appearance and an economical engine (1,8 litres)

Not widely known manufacturer Scion (Teenager part of Toyota corporation). Scion Xa costs $ 13 320.

Dodge Caliber is a little bit more expensive than its rivals ($ 13 985), but it is equipped better and moreover it looks really COOL.

Ford Focus is still being sold in the US. It is quite attractive and costs about $ 13 995.

Stylish Mazda 3 is a good choise. And for the students as well, because it costs $ 15 150.

A compact hatchback Honda Fit is economical and spacious, and not very expensive -  $ 13 850.

But a student who wants a crossover should pay attention to Kia Sportage. Just from the point of money. The car costs $ 16 495.
