A group of VW designers from California premiered a project of a future vehicle, which was created using nanotechnologies. The car which was named Nanospyder is able to protect its passengers and is completely harmless for the environment.
The nanoconstruction of the car is covered with parts made from organic materials. Some of these parts can pump themselves up which provides additional safety. Moreover the outer parts of the car are at the same time additional sources of energy, which is generated from sunlight. The major part of the car’s energy comes from hydrogen accumulators. The car is moved by compact electro engines, which are placed inside each wheel of Nanospyder. The project was created specially for the designer’s competitions which are held in Los-Angeles in November 2006.
