The Austrian car manufacturer KTM will create the first vehicle in its history. Stefan Pierer told about that at the interview to the Austrian newspaper Standard. According to his words the car will be manufactured in Austria. Magna Steyr will be a partner in the production of the car.
The first vehicle will a 2-seat roadster, which conceptually will be very close to the English sport car Lotus Seven. The chassis of the auto is being created in collaboration with the Italian company Dallara which specializes in sport bolides. The new KTM roadster will be equipped with VW engine and transmission. The engine will be around 250 hp. It is likely that the vehicle will be sold through the KTM dealer’s net.
