The first generation of Audi TT appeared in 1998 and impressed the audience greatly. And now is the time to remake the car. The first cars of the new generation have already found their owners and in general the novelty is very popular in Europe. In addition to TT Audi is working on a sport TT RS version which is already undergoing road tests.

Firstly, the new generation is bigger (the length - by 137 mm, the width - 6 mm). The new TT looks more aggressive because of the new radiator bars and slanting front lights. From the rear end the car looks more serious and stout because of the new design of exhaust pipes. Moreover there is a small spoiler on the cover of the root which appears at speed more than 120 kmph and folds at 80 kmph. Nevertheless a driver can fold or unfold it by simply pushing one button.

The saloon of the new car is made very luxurious and elegant. Sport seats are comfortable, that’s why the car can be used for long trips. The seat formula is 2+2, but in reality it is extremely uncomfortable for two adults to seat in the back. The back row is much better for luggage or kids.

You can choose between two engines: either 2,0-litre 200 hp TFSI or 3,2-litre 250 hp V8. The both versions can be equipped with either a 6-gear automatic DSG S Tronic or an average 6-grade gear-box. The both boxes are a good choice, but DSG S Tronic seems to be preferable as it has a mechanic regime.

A new 2,0-litre 200 hp TFSI engine accelerates TT from 0 to 100 in 6,6 seconds, and the max speed is 240 kmph.

The second engine is not much more powerful if compared to the first one. And the technical features do not differ significantly: acceleration from 0 to 100 takes 5,9 seconds and the max speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.

At the moment TTs with 2,0 TFSI have only front wheel drive, and 3,2 V6 comes with 4WD. The suspension appeared to be unexpectedly comfortable for a sport coupe, but the drivers with racing ambitions should rather order Magnetic Ride suspension. Its rigidity is regulated electronically, which enables the driver to change settings in a moment.

The basic version with a 2,0-litre engine costs 31 900 euro in Europe and the 4WD V6 costs 39 900 euro. The basic features include ESP, climate control and sport seats.
