The USA one more time found the victims of the car industry. The Truth About Cars posted the results of the Ten Worst Automobiles Today (TWAT) awards. Do you remember the post where I wrote about the candidates to this not a pleasant title? Here is the information about the top 20 and now you can get aquainted with the list of top 10 losers of 2006:

10. Chevrolet Aveo
In the USA Aveo is advertised as the most affordable new vehicle. People tell about some car’s drawbacks: bad noise reduction, not enough powerful engines and Korean origin.

9. Lincoln Mark LT
A remake of Ford F-150. People think that the car is a shame for the company and Mark series in particular. Very cheap insights (especially if compared to Navigator).

8. Saab 9-7X
Saab 9-7X is Chevrolet Trailblazer with the ignition key between front seats. The attempt to create a new model under the European brand failed. Bedge-engineering is not enough to make a car that can be a real Saab.

7. Subaru B9 Tribeca
Subaru was too clever by half with the design of the front end of the car. The effort to chase Lexus failed, but the engine any way wouldn’t let it happen as it is too powerless.

6. Chevrolet Monte Carlo
A ghost from the 80s. The Americans think it is a completely useless car with no purpose. A huge coupe with pseudo American design, Korean optics and weak suspension. A totally out fashioned car.

5. Hummer H2
The strange derivative from Chevrolet Suburban. Heavy as a school bus, slow and tight though very huge. Looks like an agricultural machine.

4. Chrysler Aspen
A remake of Dodge Durango. Too expensive, primitive, slow and bulky. The construction of the car has really became out of date - a SUV of very limited passability - not the thing people have expected from Chrysler.

3. Buick Rendezvous
Alongside with Pontiac Aztek the car is one the ugliest vehicles of the modern times. Designed on Chevrolet Venture, Pontiac Montana and Oldsmobile Silhouette base the car stands out in a crowd of Buick models. But not to the positive. It is neither SUV nor mini van - just an unknown model.

2. Jeep Compass
A remade Dodge Caliber. Just the result of dr. Frankenstein’s experiments on car genetics. Strange design, limited off-road features.

1. Chevrolet Uplander, Saturn Relay, Buick Terraza and Pontiac SV6
Frankly speaking outdated cars with a boring design and of awful quality. The manufacturers called them “Sport crossovers with spacious saloon”, but the car can be hardly call dynamical. Weak engines, awkward design, outdated construction - that’s why the autos got the title of “Worst cars in modern history” according to TTAC.

As it is seen from the above GM is again not very popular with the Americans. It should also be mentioned that only one Japanese car (Subaru B9) got into top 10. But it is not a great problem for the car for it is brilliantly sold all over the globe.

Chevrolet Aveo, Lincoln Mark LT, Subaru B9 Tribeca, Saab, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Hummer H2, Chrysler Aspen, Buick Rendezvous, Jeep Compass, Chevrolet Uplander, Saturn Relay, Buick Terraza, Pontiac SV6, GM
