It is likely that the Chinese quarters of Volkswagen will soon have a new model, which will look similar to the concept crossover Neeza (showed at the Pekin Motor Show).

According to the company’s officials Neeza was created by Shanghai Volkswagen designers in order to match the culture of the local public. The dimensions of the car will be practically the same as those of Audi Allroad. And the silhouette, wide boot door with in-built rear lights are very similar to those of Audi Q7. The front end looks oriental. The design of the vehicle is full of Chinese features. The radiator bar’s details, according to Neeza designers, should resemble traditional Chinese windows. Neeza’s logos are made in the style of Chinese hieroglyphs - the letters look as if they are written with a paint brush. The shining frame of the glass roof also adds a special coloring to the car’s appearance.

The original interior is done in a modern minimalist style: popular red and white scale, impressive highlighting. Another peculiar thing is that the car’s interior is almost totally deprived of electronics. The designers thought that at the high rates of science development the owner of the car will want to install all the additional devices himself. There are only loud speakers, a monitor and control panel in the car.

You see VW aim at all the segments of the market beginnng from Sport vans to local-interest vehicles. The name of the car is a derivative from “Ne-zha” - the name of the mystical hero which is known to every boy in China: the boy who fought evil spirits with the help of magic weapon.
