The English magazine about vans and SUVs “What van?” named the winner of the “Best pickup of 2006″ nomination. The winner is Mitsubishi L200. Though the premiere of the vehicle took place in March 2006 in the UK, the ahs already gained popularity.

This win is not the first or the only one for Mitsubishi - for the leas 12 years different pickups brought 8 gold medals in the nomination “Best Pickup of the Year“.

While Mitsubishi L200 was named Pickup of the year, Honda Ridgeline was named Truck of the Year

It should be mentioned that unlike many other car magazines, “What van?” choose the winners not according to the voting by its readers, but analyzing the results of various test themselves. The winner was chosen according to such criteria as maneuverability, comfort, operational features, equipment, safety, carrying capacity, economy, and price-quality ratio.
