In March 2007 in Geneva BMW will show the new generation of the 5-door hatchback BMW 1-Series alongside with the modification of the car - the 3-door version. At the moment there is no official info about the cars, though a couple of site show the trailers featuring the both cars.

According to this videos the new 1-series will get the new head and rear lights, front bumper with a huge air intake and anti fog lights. The 3-door version looks practically the same except a shorter body and 2 side doors.

Moreover a couple of sources claim the novelties will be equipped with more powerful engines: the 2,0-liter 150 hp petrol engine will be replaced by a 170 hp version (from BMW 320 cabrio); the 3,0-liter engine will get additional 7 hp (265 hp - 272 hp). The novelty may also get the hottest version with a supercharged 3,0-liter with 300 hp.
