Do you believe in ghost stories? And in car-ghost stories? Don’t you? You are right! At least if you are told that a fluorescent Smart Fortwo has been seen on the road, don’t immediately call you psychiatrist. The car is real and even exists on the road, and you shouldn’t be afraid of it.

The car has been made by a group of photographers with Katharina Sieverding in charge. They took one of Fortwo of the first generation as a base. Beside fluorescent paint the car is nothing but an ordinary one. But the paint is enough to shock passers by. Unfortunately the “camouflage” works at night only and during the day it is an ordinary Smart Fortwo.

According to the author’s plan the car is likely to be more safe, because it is seen better on the road.

Ford Glocar Concept

Besides this Smart is not the only of the kind. In 2002 Ford was conducting experiments on fluorescent cars. And Ford Glocar was even shown as a concept. Smart will also be shown at the Galerie Viaux exhibition in Berlin in March 2007.
