Ford has announced the first official photos and technical features of the new generation of Mondeo. The novelty might become quite popular due to its modern exterior design and rich options.

The exterior of the novelty is done in the current company’s style, which is called “kinetic design”. It seems to be quite appealing and the vivid example of it is Ford S-MAX, which was called the best car of 2006. The rounded front end of the new Mondeo boasts fascinating-shaped front lights; nevertheless the rear end is done originally as well: the red-and-white back lights look attractive and fresh. All this make the car stand out in a crowd. The interior of the car is also full of “kinetic design” features. 

The new generation of Mondeo will have a range of 3 types of bodies – sedan, hatchback and universal. The engine line will include 6 variants: 4 petrol from 1,6 to 2,5 liter with 110-220 hp accordingly, and 2 diesels 1,8 and 2,0 liter with 100 and 140 hp. There are also a couple of versions, which are called Edge, Zetec, Ghia, Titanium X.

Ford has installed a few technical novelties. You will be able to start the engine without a key. “Convers +” system is used to search for breakages. The system shows all the necessary information on the display, which in built in the main panel. The car is equipped with the active cruise-control “Forward Alert”, which is able to calculate and keep the distance between your car and the one ahead.

The premiere of the novelty is expected to take place in Geneva (8-17 March), the prices will be announced there as well. The first vehicles will be available at the dealers’ showrooms a month later the premiere.
