The increase in the speed of the modern supercars is limited not only by ecology and aerodynamics. Another factor that adds to that is tires. There are hardy a couple of tires which are able to bear incredible loads at the speed more that 350 kmph. In 2004 Continental unveiled ContiSportContact 2 Vmax with the speed index of 360 kmph. Now Pirelli enters the competition.

This year the Italian company will have been taking park in the races for 100 years. They are creating a new model for extra fast supercars in P Zero series - the Hero. The speed index of the new tires is 370 kmph, which makes it the leader in the segment. The tires are simply brilliant for every-day use.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo, Audi R8, Aston Martin DB9, Maserati Quattroporte are already equipped with the tires. The novelty Pirelli P Zero the Hero will be available for 18-20-inch rims.
