The American company ZAP has released the photos of the new crossover with 4 eclectic engines. The novelty is being made in collaboration with Lotus and will get the name ZAP-X. The car is built on the platform of the concept Lotus APX, which was shown in Geneva in 2006. ZAP-X will be equipped with 4 electric engines built in the wheels. The total power of the car is about 644 hp, which enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 in 4,8 seconds and reach the max speed of 250 kmph. Due to the upgraded battery system, the power reserve is 530 km and the recharging takes 10 minutes. The creators claim that the new 7-seat crossover can be easily transformed into a real “office on wheels”, because the car will be equipped with a computer with Windows XP, satellite navigation, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FireWire, iPod connection. It is possible that the car will also be equipped with “no key” system, and the owner will be able to start the engine with his/her fingerprints. ![]() The approximate cost of the novelty is $60 000, but it is unknown when the car is available at the dealers’ showrooms.
