XR-3 will get a 3-cylinder engine, which is placed in the front end of the body and moves the rear wheels; and an electric engine, which moves one of the rear wheels. The car is able to drive using both engines simultaneously or just the diesel.

The XR-3 creators claim that the car will consume 1 liter of fuel per 100 km using electric power, and a little more that 2 liters if driving on diesel only. The max speed of the car is 136 kmph.

The official release of the car is due June 16, 2007. The cost of the novelty hasn’t been announced yet.
