Lamborghini has already made Gallardo 100 kg lighter (Gallardo Superleggera) which is not that little for a supercar. Now they are working in the same direction with Murcielago.

The reducttion of the weight will be enabled by changing a couple of metal details to carbon ones - the doors, cowling, wings, rear view mirrors and a huge spoiler. As a result Lamborghini Murcielago will lose about 100-150 kg and the total weight of the car will be 1500-1550 kg (instead of 1665 kg)

Most definitely that there will be some changes in the engine. The power of it is to be increased up to 700 hp, which will allow the car to accelerate to the maximum of 350 kmph and sprint from 0 to 100 in 3.5 seconds.
