 The new crossover by Ford, which is to replace Maverick, is likely to be called X-Max. The main competitors of the model will be Toyota Rav-4, Honda CR-V, Nissan X-Trail, Volkswagen Tiguan. The design of the novelty will be made in the style of the latest Ford models. Ford doesn’t hide that they will advertise the model not as a means of off-road driving, but as a 4WD sport car. It is no wonder, because if Ford had made X-MAX a full-scale SUV, then the car would have competed with the new generation of Land Rover Freelander (Land Rover is owned by Ford). The engine line will be quite rich including the top variant: supercharged 2.5-liter with 225 hp. But the major part of the cars will get 1.6- and 2.0-liter petrol or 1.8- and 2.0-liter diesels. According to some data, the preserial version of X-MAX might be shown in September in Frankfurt.

 BMW has announced the sport-kit “M” for X5, which will be installed on the SUV for the first time in the history of the company.
The saloon will be added by the polished aluminum elements, sport seat with “M” logo and a new steering wheel.  Mercedes-Benz is finishing the test of a new version of C-Class with wagon body. The debut of the novelty is expected to take place in Frankfurt. Beside the basic version, the car will be available in AMG version which includes body-kit, lower suspension and 19-inch rims. According the the British magazine Car, the novelty will be 55 mm longer than the previous version, and the length of the wheelbase will be 2760 mm. This will enable the increase of both the saloon and root capacity: 500 liters / 1500 liters with the rear seats folded. As for the technical features, the car will be almost identical to C-Class sedan. The line of the engines will include a V8 6.3-liter with 500 hp. This engine enable the acceleration for 0 to 100 kmph in less than 5 seconds.

The kit includes new bumpers, side moldings, wide wheel arches, exclusive 19-inch rims (20-inch rims come as an option). Moreover the kit includes the development of the chassis and steering control. It hasn’t been announced whether the developments will take place in the engine.
