In 2001 the team PGT was preparing to take part in the round of the American Le Mans Series and to score another victory. Its preparations resulted in the latest racer – BMW M3 GTR. This super car is the product of the team-work of BMW of North America and BMW Motorsport. The engine is the main difference between victorious M3s and new M3 GTRs. While the M3s were equipped with 6-cylinder powerplants, BMW Team PTG provides the new M3 GTRs with the powerful V8.
