Jaguar XJ220 was the true sensation of 1988 British motor show. The first version of the car was created by Cliff Rudell and was later on developed by Keith Helfet in 1987. The final variant of the car was unveiled in 1991 in Tokyo. The legendary vehicle, released in a limited series of 280 copies is the dream of collectors even today. In 1988 Jaguar has announced the Jaguar Sport subdivision. The subdivision dealt with the designing of sport prototypes on the platforms of the existing Jaguars of XJ220 line.

1991-94 were the years of the new model line of the company. In 1993 the plant in Browns Line built in the 50s was reconstructed for the production of the new series XJ. The new engine V12 with 6.0 liters got even more powerful, modern and economical in comparison to its predecessor Daimler Double Six.

In march 1996 in Geneva Jaguar showed the sport model Jaguar XK8/XKR in coupe and convertible bodies. The car with the new engine AJ V8 was launched serially in October and from the very beginning attracted the attention of car fans.

October 21, 1998 in Birmingham the company unveiled the first new model of the decade – business-class sedan Jaguar S-type. The brand new car combines the modern designer solutions and the individual Jaguar style. The car is built on the basis of the car popular at the beginning of the 60s - Jaguar Mark II.

In November 2000 the company announced the creation of the “most remarkable Jaguar ever” - 4WD Jaguar X-Type. The emergence of the car became a symbol of the new future of the company which for the first time in its history got the chance to compete in the market of luxurious automobiles owing to the 4-car model line.

In 2002 at the September motor show in Paris the company showed the mode model Jaguar XJ. This 17th vehicle under the series XJ got 200 kg lighter that its predecessors thanks to the all-aluminum body. The new Jaguar XJ is the incarnation of the traditional Jaguar style combining sophisticated design, luxurious decorating of the interior with the latest technology achievements and innovations of the automotive production.
