Attention! Dodge Viper has sat on a diet! The experts of the company has shown the track variant of the racing supercar icon - Viper SRT10 ACR, which lost a few kilos and gained aggressive optics. To cut the long story short, the viper will be shown in Los Angeles.

Under the cowling the car will have the same old 600-hp engine with 8.4 liters and 760 Nm of torque. And again the same old rear-driven 6-grade mechanic. The 0 to 100 kmph acceleration in less than 4 seconds and the max speed about 310 kmph.

Instead the fact that the engine remained the same, the novelty got a few changes in the body and interior, where the designers were able to drop up to 36 kg.

Such a reduction was enabled due to a number of actions. For instance, Viper is now deproved of a costly audio-system (which weighs 18 kg). At the same time the car was deprived of foot pads in the saloon and the paneling in the root, the basic seats have been replaced with a lighter sport versions, the door panels have been replaced and the engine tank has been deprived of the noise insulation. The total weight reduction – 36 kg.

The body is something incredible! The typical cowling with air-intakes, a powerful front spoiler and huge anti-wing make the novelty inimitable. The impression is completed by the extreme bright-red-black coloring.

As for the modernization of the running gear of Viper SRT10 ACR, the designers offer the multi-mode KW suspension, high-performance braking system and custom 20-inch black rims with Michelin tires.

The official premiere of the car is to take place in Los Angeles in November. The market launch is planned in the middle of 2008. The approximate cost of the car is slightly less than $100 000.
