The Tuning Manufacture GeigerCars has “spurred” Ford GT

In fact, Ford GT is quite a self-sufficient vehicle. Moreover, it is already out of production. And, of course, it is damn fast! Still, all this arguments didn’t stop the engineers of the German company GeigerCars to follow the example of their colleagues from Hennesey and Edo Competition. The engineers decided to work out a tuning program to load one of the existing 4038 copies of the model.

It goes without saying that the engineers went into action thoroughly. The first thing they did – threw away the basic mechanic supercharger and installed a more powerful one. As a result the admission pressure increased from 0.8 to 1.25 atmospheres. But this was not enough for the engineers, they readjusted the admission system and tuned the chip. Moreover, the tuning program includes the customization of the exhaust system. The newly tuned Ford GT is decorated with double 110-mm pipes.

You should not be confused that the exterior of the car has hardly been customized. The loaded car can be recognized only by wide wheels and impressive exhaust pipes.

After all the tuning manipulations the sportcar got much more powerful. Right behind the seats you will now feel the beat of 701 hp instead of the basic 550. The torque has increased as well: from 678 to 836 Nm. But what is for the realization of these figures? You won’t get disappointed: the acceleration from 0 to 100 k.p.h. takes 3.5 seconds (which is by 0.3 seconds faster that the basic 3.8 seconds), and, of course, the max speed which is now 340 k.p.h. instead of the basic 330.

It IS fast, there is no denying the fact. But at the same time, such power and speed requires appropriate suspension and other systems tuning. The engineers “shook up” the basic suspension and were able to lower Ford by 60 mm. Another peculiar feature of the car is its tires – the front wheels are equipped with 245-mm wide 20-inch rims. But the rear wheels are even more impressive – the size of the ties is 325/30 R21! And it was the final and climax of the tuning kit. Now the engineers are waiting for the owners of Ford GT to use their services. It is quite doubtful that all the 4 thousand owners will want to have their rides tuned, but at least a few dozens definitely will.
