Spyker C8 Laviolette LWB will be shown in Geneva. At the beginning of May the manufacture Spyker will release the longer variant of the supercar Spyker C8 Laviolette that got a small addition of 3 letters LWB.

The brand-new supercar is 4.58 m long, 1.92 m wide and 1.25 m high (the average model SWB – 4.18/188/1.24). The power unit is the same borrowed from Audi 4.2-liter V8 with 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque. Owing to the engine and 6-grade mechanic the 0-100 km/h acceleration takes 4.5 seconds and the max speed makes 345 km/h.

The serial version will be equipped with 18-inch rims with 225/40 and 255/35 tires (19 inches comes as an option) plus high-performance braking system with 356- / 330-mm plates and 6/4-piston supports.

The approximate cost of Spyker C8 Laviolette LWB will make from 260 000 euro in Europe.

Mercedes is planning to show another novelty in Geneva – the restyled bolide Mercedes SL, which aims to cover a small 3-year gap. In its turn in 2011 Mercedes is planning to release a new generation of SL.

The restyling program covered to areas of the car – the body design and engine line.

As for the former, the novelty got a distinctive change in the design of the front end with the untypical for “Daimler” lights and “swollen” cowling, the rear end with a run-out, spoiler and restyled rear lights plus new channels.

The latter case – is the refreshment of the power unit line with the brand-new model 316-hp SL 350 Sport and 231-hp SL 280. SL 350 Sport accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and has the max speed of 250 km/h. SL 280, in its turn, accelerates to the same speed in 7.8 seconds and its max speed reaches the same 250 km/h. The models SL 500 and SL 600 will remain with the same engines and thus the same power of 388 hp and 517 hp accordingly.

In the area of top units such as AMG some changes have taken place as well. For instance, AMG releases the new Mercedes SL 63 AMG which is to replace the previous SL 55 AMG.

The new SL 63 AMG is equipped with 525-hp V8 power unit with the max torque of 630 Nm. The power train is carried with the help of a 7-grade automatic transmission. The 0-100 km/h acceleration takes 4.7 seconds and the max speed of the car is 250 km/h (electronically limited).

Besides all this the models will be equipped with a new optimized steering wheel control and the modernized system Telematik with the possibility of voice control Linguatronic.

The interior is the familiar luxury – leather, alcantara and wood insertions.
