Valentine’s Day is a popular holiday that people of all ages celebrate worldwide. For those who are unaware (do you know these people?):

Saint Valentine’s Day or Valentine’s Day is on February 14. It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other; sending Valentine’s cards or candy. It is very common to present flowers on Valentine’s Day.

So, it looks that flowers are the most common and popular gift to express your feelings on Valentine’s Day. There are more Valentines gifts that you can think of, but a bouquet of nice roses or tulips is a nice way.

In my opinion it is not the gift, but your attention that matters on this day. You give a sign to the person that there is (still) something between you and her/ him despite all those years shared together. It is certainly easier to express love at the age of 16-25, but it is a completely different story to keep and express those feelings say after 10-20 years of marriage.
