New Mercedes CLC

The restyled 2-door sport hatchback Mercedes CLC has been released officially. The front end is taken from the actual C-class, the rear end – almost separate, in general – details. Oh yes, the premiere of the novelty is to take place in Geneva at the beginning of March – we are looking forward!

The new Mercedes CLC as it has been called by the manufacturers is a “cheap” variant for those who cannot afford two sedans. More compact, more sporty and comparatively affordable by cost – to cut the long story short CLC.

The power unit line features 6 variants – 4 4-cylinder and 2 6-cylinder engines. Additional engines according to the demand in Europe and America.

The basic variant - diesel 200 CDI with 122 hp and 270 Nm of torque. The 0-100 km/h acceleration – 11.3 seconds and the max speed is 206 km/h. The average fuel consumption – 5.8 liters for 100 km. The next variant – 220 CDI with 150 hp and 340 Nm. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.7 seconds and the max speed is 224 km/h. The average fuel consumption – 5.9 liters.

Now about petrol engines

The engines are CLC 180 Kompressor with 143 hp, the new CLC 200 Kompressor with 184 hp and CLC 230 with 204 hp.

As for the top variant – it is CLC 350 V6 with 272 hp. The engine is able to accelerate the novelty to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and the max speed is 250 km/h. The fuel consumption – 9.5 liters per 100 km.

As for the power train, the new CLC will be equipped with 6-grade mechanic. As an option comes 5-grade automatic or 6-grade automatic. Moreover, as an option come sport kit with 18-inch rims (225/40 and 245/35 tires) a modest body-kit, modernized suspension and sport elements in the exterior.

The release of the sport hatchback Mercedes CLC in planned in May. The novelty will cost from 28 000 euro in Germany.
