New Ford Kuga will be shown in Geneva

Officially - the crossover Ford Kuga will be released in Geneva. The long awaited moment has come

A few days ago Ford has showed the official photos and announced details about the car.

So, Ford Kuga was showed as a concept in Paris, then as half-done series in Frankfurt and now the car is presented in its final version. The basic platform of the car is the same as the models C-Max and Focus have (with slight modifications).

The new Kuga is spacious and has enough space for 4 passengers and some baggage. The boot – compact and its capacity is 360 l, and with the folded back row of seats – 1355 l.

By the moment of its “birth” Ford Kuga will be represented by only one variant – with 2.0-liter TDCi Common Rail-engine with 136 hp (320 Nm and 340 Nm with “Overboost” on) and 6-grade mechanic transmission with AWD. The average fuel consumption – 6.4 l per 100 km.

Ford Kuga will be produced in two filling variants - Trend and Titanium. The serial filling will feature such systems as ESP, ABS, EBD, ARM, cruise-control, multimedia system etc. As for the price, it hasn’t been announced yet.

New Ford Fiesta with premiere in Geneva

The new generation of Fiesta will be shown in Geneva by Ford. The company made this announcement last Monday and showed a few official photos and some information about the novelty.

The new 3-door novelty is very similar to the concept Ford Verve which was shown in Frankfurt – the same lines, the same European plastics. The line of engines will be represented by 5 variants – 4 petrol and 1 diesel.

The basic engine1.25 liter 60-hp, then comes 1.25-liter 80-hp; 1.4-liter 91-hp and the new 1.6-liter with 115 hp. The only diesel – 1.6 liter with 90 hp.

As for the model palette, the new Fiesta will be produced in 2 body types – 3-door and 5-door hatchback. The first models will come off the assembly line in the middle of 2008 and will be sold only in Europe. Moreover, before 2010 Ford is planning to release the novelty on Asian, South African, Australian and US markets.

Price in Germany – from 10 000 euro.
