The ultimate Rascal - Rinspeed Cayenne X-Treme
The Swiss manufacture Rinspeed has showed a 600-hp program of idealization for the off-road bolide Porsche Cayenne Turbo which got the name Cayenne X-Treme. The expected premiere – in Geneva. The first thing that becomes to the image of a muscle fighter is the body-kit with a powerful front spoiler and gigantic black cooler, wide arches, channels and huge rear bumper with a run-out. The package is rounded by a big anti-wing on the root door. Under the cowling the novelty has a modified 600-hp power unit (the series – 500 hp), which enables the max speed of 250 km/h and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. As for the dynamics and its stability, Rinspeed engineers equipped the suspension of the car with a special electronic module that will enable to lower the clearance by 40 mm. (the alternative – helical chassis or a sport springs kit). The experts of the Swiss company equipped the car with a high-performance braking system with 380-mm plates and 8-piston supports. The kit is added by 22- and 23-inch rims of the series “X-treme” with 295/30 ZR 22 and 315/25 ZR 23 tires. The interior of the “little one” is full of alcantara, carbon, leather, aluminum and velour. The price – right after an “interlocution.”
Students rule: Meserati Chicane Concept
Geneva is at hand. The students of the Italian high school of manufacturing design IED are planning to show a concept-model of a sportcar of the future under the name Chicane at the motor show. The car had been created in collaboration with the company Maserati. The concept Meserati Chicane is 4.40 m long, 1.85 m wide and 1.25 m high with the wheelbase 2.60 m. The interior is quite spacious and offers the formula 2+2. As for the design the students decided to use the familiar shape of the existing models - Quattroporte and Gran Turismo, thus giving the concept a very “modest” future. As for the engineering, under the cowling the novelty has V8 engine and the power train is carried out with the help of mechanic transmission on to the rear axis. To cut the long story short, the concept promises to the full of ovation and adoration. All we have to do is wait, wait and once again wait.
