Top “Trident” Maserati Gran Turismo S

Maserati unveiled the official photos of the new top model Gran Turismo S last week. The official premiere of the novelty is to take place in Geneva (let me remind you that the motor show in Geneva opens on March, 4).

In comparison to its younger brother Gran Turismo which was unveiled last year, the new “S” is a lucky owner of a 440-hp 4.7-liter engine (the basic version – 405 ponies) that works alongside a sequential transmission with electronic control system. These system enable the car to gather the max 240 km/h and accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. Shifting gears is possible via the traditional lever or steering-wheel levers.

The body design has been created by Pininfarina where the peculiarities of S-model have been underlined by chrome radiator grille, channels and a few spoilers. The package is rounded by exclusive black rims in 7-spoke design.

The interior filling hasn’t been changed significantly. The manufacturers offer a wide range of leathers, alcantara, plus wood and carbon insertions. Besides the car comes with a decent multimedia and navigation systems.

The cost of the new Maserati Gran Turismo S hasn’t been announced yet.
