Caterham RST V8 got a charge of 500 hp.

The British manufacture Caterham and the experienced tuner RS Performance have unveiled an “angry” variant of the popular 2-seat car Caterham – RST V8.

The major peculiarity of the novelty is the lightness (only 90 kg) of its 2.4-liter V8 engine the power of which makes 380 ponies and the max torque is 260 Nm. A great bonus of the engine is a supercharger system which enables the car to reach 500 hp and 406 Nm of torque. The power train is carried out with the help of a 6-grade mechanic on the rear axis where it is transferred to a sport block-differential with 15-inch rims and 245/40 tires.

The dynamics of the car is close to perfection. Owing to a light construction of the frame and light and durable body parts (carbon fiber)

The “weight” of the novelty on European markets is estimated at around 155 000 euro.
