What is new among concept cars? The Scuderia Bizzarrini Livorno p538 Barchetta is designed by a well-known German artist Stefan Schulze. The designer is working with Giotto Bizzarrini (the head of the company of Bizzarrini and one who has approved the design), with Alan Mertens (race-car engineer), and Kevin Gallahan of Arbitrage Cars. Together they are going to What about the vehicle’s title? What concerns the name of the vehicle, the part Bizzarrini in the title of this 2008 concept is used to add some feeling of history to the car mainly due to its associations with exclusive performance cars. The Livorno part of the title of the car is referred to the Italian city. As the matter of the fact Bizzarrini Company currently resides in Livorno. And the last part of the title - p538 – is used in order to memorize a 1960’s race car which was built by Bizzarrini in rather limited numbers. Car’s outlook and characteristics And now some words about the vehicle’s outlook and its characteristics. Premier4509 have showed the compact Lambo Reventon The Japanese masters represented by the design studio Premier4509 have unveiled the fresh modification program for the newly-born supercar Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, which in this unusual wrapping resembles the compact variant of the ultra-sound “beast” Lamborghini Reventon. The series is strictly limited and features 1 000 copies. At first sight the car really resembles the small Reventon with the typical underlined shape of a fighter-interceptor. Of course, the experts marked out the front end with its 2 huge air intakes and a small spoiler-lip in the middle. Then the interceptor shape is realized in the side channels and ends up in the overwhelming rear end with a couple of spoilers and a run out. The elements of the body-kit are made of carbon. As for the modernization of the running gear and the V10 power unit, the company hasn’t announced any details. Most probably the engine development program is still in works. And if it is really so, the car is likely to get about 600 bhp which will enable the max speed of over 340 kmph and 0-100 kmph in less than 3.5 seconds. To cut the long story short the car is likely to be the true beast. It is a peculiar fact that the official web-page of the company doesn’t allow to read more at the moment. All we were left to do is rely on the simplest way – a telephone call which explained that the car will be unveiled in a number of weeks. Moreover, the representative of the company has stated that almost the whole series has been already ordered. Well, I wonder by whom?

At the motor show in NY Dodge unveiled a few “muscle” novelties – a 380-hp Challenger R/T and the basic variant – 235-bhp Challenger SE. Both the variants will be available in stores in the forthcoming autumn. Both the cars are the vivid examples of the modern American auto manufacturing, where the genes and the sex appeal of the bodies take roots in the past – in the 70s. In fact, the first series of Challenger was shown in January in Detroit – represented by the stunning muscle-car SRT8 with 430-bhp HEMI V8 power unit. Under the bonnet of Challenger R/T works a 5.7-liter 380-bhp V8 with the max torque of 548 Nm (with the automatic transmission – 540 Nm). The power train is carried out with the help of 6-grade mechanics. Not to 100 km/h takes 6 seconds and the max speed is over 250 km/h. The poorest in the Challenger model line is the model SE with a 3.5-liter 253-bhp V6 and the max torque of 330 Nm. The car is serially equipped with a 4-grade automatic transmission.
It should be mentioned that Challenger has been designed on the base of Chrysler 300. The car is able to transport up to 5 passengers and the boot capacity is 460 liters. Serially the car will be equipped with ABS, ESP, braking assistant, tire pressure control system, traction control and some other safety and “smart” systems. Technical Summary:
2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 35 Years of Fame
Dodge has slightly upgraded its top car Viper SRT10 which got a more productive power unit and a modified body-kit.
The major difference from the previous version is the engine. The power of the current 8.4-liter one is 612 bhp and the torque – 760 Nm. Not to 100 km/h is dealt with in 3.7 seconds and the max speed is 326 km/h. As for the exterior of the Viper, the designers created a new bonnet dashed by an air-hole and pockets, plus a small spoiler on the boot cover. It is peculiar that the representatives of the company have stated the interest towards the American market only. Europe is left without the new wonder. But in fact with the current fuel prices the 612-bhp beast seems an unreasonable purchase for a European. The price on the renewed Viper SRT10 will start at $85 000 (around 55 000 euro). To cut the long story short. For Europe the price seems unbelievable as it is almost impossible to buy such a car that “dirt cheap” there. Technical Summary:
