What was the previous year peculiar for? The thing that is for sure is that the year was full of various auto contests and charts. All the most beautiful, reliable, expensive, fast, rare, stylish, desirable and even sexy cars have been announced. It goes without saying that the worst cars of the year have been announced as well. The great Enzo Ferrari used to utter truths. Here is one: “You buy an engine. Everything else is attached.” Of course, the guru couldn’t have adviced the wrong. In is no wonder that the advice given by Enzo was understood literally. First of all, Ferdinand Piech created the monster Bugatti Veyron with 1001 hp. It turned out that Piech open the Pandora’s chest. Dozens of companies followed his example, they were eager to create a car that would be even more powerful than Veyron. Many succeeded. At the moment the 1001-hp supercar doesn’t even get into the top 5 most powerful cars in the world. Of course, the rating cannot be the one and the only. New cars spring up every day, and it is mpossible to trace them all. That’s why the rating features top 5 most powerful vehicles by the beginning of 2008. Some of them, probable will never go into series. Still, if they exist they should be mentioned. So, Top 5 Most Powerful Cars of 2007 (Lemonlawvehicle.com version 5. MELLING HELLCAT occupies the 5th place. The car is a creation of the English Motorist Al Melling. Built in the typically British auto sport traditions, the supercar is equipped with a turbo supercharged 1175-hp V10. According to Melling, Hellcat is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, and the max speed is the fantastic 442 km/h. 4. One step higher is SSC ULTIMATE AERO TWIN TURBO – the official champion. In autumn 2007 SSC got into the Guinness book of records as the fastest car (accelerating to 412 km/h). The American supercar is equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter engine with 1183 hp. 3. LOTEC SIRIUS is a creation of the German constructor Kurt Lotterschmidt. The car is equipped with a turbo supercharged 12-cylinder 6-liter Mercedes engine with 1200 hp. The engine is able to accelerate the car to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and the max speed is 400 km/h. 2. The leader of the rating - VECTOR WX-8 – the American hypercar with the unique engine: 10-liter V8 with 1850 hp. The peculiar thing is that there is a “basic” version of the car with 1200 hp. Now I offer you the rating of top 5 most fastest of the previous year. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the rating doesn’t feature a few supercars that could possibly be there. It happened because the companies hadn’t released the information about cars and their prices. And I find it unprofessional to publish the data coming from some third-party semi-official sources. So, the top 5 fastest cars of 2007 looks like that: 5. The Swedish supercar Koenigsegg CCX, according to the manufacturer makes “over“ 395 km/h. How much “over” is not known. Still, the recently released limited series of CCX with 888 hp (again according to the manufacturer) can drive faster than 400 km/h.
4. Lotec Sirius is a 1200-hp German supercar was produced in a limited series. According to the designer of the car , Kurt Lotterschmidt, the car is able to exceed 400 km/h.
3. The most famous supercar of the modern time, the automotive icon - Bugatti Veyron. So much has been written about the car, so I can only repeat its performance data – 1001 hp and 407 km/h.
2. Another limited edition by Christian von Koenigsegg – the model CCXR. The car which is worth 1 575 000 euro accelerates to 417 km/h and is the cleanest supercars as the 1018-hp engine works on the bio-fuel E85.
1. The American supercar SSC Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo is officially the fastest serial car in the world. In Autumn 2007 the representatives from the Guinness book of records fixated the speed of 412 km/h. However, the manufacturer stated that the max speed of the car is 437 km/h.
