The same thing with cars: the number of rich people is constantly growing, so they need more extra expensive cars. The Forbes magazine published the list of top 10 most expensive cars built in 2007.

The top part of the list has changed comparing to 2005. The old times’ leaders Maybach and Porsche Carrera GT are no longer on top. I won’t show the whole list, but only the cars released in 2007. Practically all of them are supercars, which is no wonder - it is much more expensive to built such cars than to built supersedans, and the demand is constantly high.

6. Maybach 62 S

One year ago the audience was shown a short-platformed Maybach 57 S. The car was shown as the most powerful luxury-class sedan. Now the full-scale version has the “S” variation. The car is equipped with a 612-hp engine. This Maybach is now called “the fastest limousine in the world”.

5. Saleen S7 Twin Turbo Competition

S7 Twin Turbo remains one of the most expensive and most powerful vehicles on the globe. Last year the company built a new version equipped with a 1015-hp V8 engine. From o to 100 kmph the car accelerates in less than 3 seconds.

The Swiss company Leblanc builds car on demand and for every single customer. This is because Mirabeau in substance is a sport prototype adapted for the usage on average roads.

3. SSC Ultimate Aero

The small American company has built the coupe to compete with the Italian supercars. The 1046-hp engine is placed in the back of the vehicle and moves the back wheels. The luxurious interior is comfortable for both a middle-tall businessman and a basketball player. The SSC experts claim that on a track the car is able to accelerate to 430 kmph.

2. Pagani Zonda Roadster F C12S 7.3 Clubsport

Price: $ 667 321

The small Italian company Pagani has been creating these supercars for some time already. The car is equipped with a Mercedes engine (the most powerful S-class versions have the same engine). Every year the car is modernized, but the Italians do not hurry do create a new platform - actually at the moment there is no such a need.
